THE REGIONAL LEAGUE STRUCTURE IN 2011/12
Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina will start with one club in the league each. Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia than get one additional place because they havce a representative in Euroleague.
Other places in the league were filled according to the national standing. The first (Croatia) and the second best country (Serbia) according to the 2009/10 national standings were given one additional place while Serbia was the best according to the coefficient from the 2008/09 and 2009/10 season and was therefore given one more place in the league for the 2010/2011.
Budućnost from Montenegro, Nymburk from Czech republic, Igokea from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Cedevita from Croatia were given a wild-card.
What is the coefficient?
The coefficient is the sum of all victories clubs from a certain country achieve in a regular season divided by the number of clubs from that country.
